January 31, 2010 The water has dropped to fishable levels on most western Washington rivers. The Wynoochee has been fishing good with excellent water conditions, but I must say my favorite is has been the Queets. The past two times I've been on the Queets the fishing has been slow but we have landed and released a fish in the 24lb range and the 20lb range. Those aren't the only fish we caught but certainly the biggest and they were both chrome bright. I look forward to February as my favorite steelhead month approaches. Get out and get some!
